The client owned a very traditional house in Truckee, including a cedar ceiling, and wanted to turn it into a contemporary home. The owner didn’t have the budget to replace all the doors from the 1960s, so we added trim and painted them instead. For the ceiling, we chose a whitewash so it wouldn’t turn pink or orange. The traditional railings were replaced with more contemporary cable railings.
