A small house from the 1970s, situated beside a 300-year-old oak. At first, the owner wanted only a new kitchen, but it became clear that the two bathrooms and the layout of the living room needed to change as well. At the end of the project, this owner gave me the biggest compliment: “You have changed my life in so many ways.” She did not want anything fancy or contrived, but wanted to stay true to the feeling of the old house while giving it a breath of fresh air.
